the story behind ALUR
Hey, I'm Delphine.
For two years now I've been working as a solo photographer. Every week I capture the most beautiful moments of other people. But my own moments? They often slipped through my fingers.
I have ADD, although it has never been officially diagnosed. Remembering things doesn't come naturally to me, and my life is busy. My phone only makes it worse: a notification here, a quick scroll there, just one more check. By the evening my head is full and very little of the day itself has stuck.
A disposable camera in Málaga
Two years ago I took a Kodak disposable camera to Málaga. The feeling was wonderful, but I was immediately stuck with a handful of photos. Expensive, because you throw it away after one roll. And then still waiting for the photos to be developed.
Paris, with only a retro camera
Recently I went on a city trip to Paris. As a test, I only took a retro camera to take photos. And that's when everything fell into place. My head wasn't about to explode. I truly enjoyed every corner of the city. And every evening was a surprise: which photos turned out, and what was hiding in between?
That's how ALUR was born
A camera without a screen, with the feeling of a disposable camera, but without the downsides. Up to 1000 photos per charge, 8 filters (my favourites: mono and vintage) and your photos straight on your phone as soon as you're home.
For everyone who wants to keep their phone in their pocket a little more often. For those who forget quickly, or simply want to really look again.
